New Kia Niro EV prototype features
1. Aggressive exterior
What you need to know about the exterior of New Kia Niro EV is that it’s inspired by Kia’s current design language. The grille, for example, is loosely based off the Stinger GT, though it has a slightly different shape. The headlights are thin and angular and accentuate the front fascia well. The rear end sports thin taillights that accentuate the thinness of the car. This car has an aggressive look overall which makes sense since it is supposed to be a small SUV. The wheels are 18 inch which give this car a somewhat sporty appearance but not quite a hatchback look.
2. Interior
The interior of New Kia Niro EV prototype features a very futuristic dashboard. The center console is dominated by a 11.3-inch touchscreen display, and the infotainment system allows you to perform almost all of your functions with the car without ever needing to touch the key fobs again. The driver sits upright and has good visibility thanks to a panoramic roof that allows for more light in the cabin, as well as having thin A-pillars for optimal visibility.
3. Charging system
New Kia Niro EV prototype will use a 48-amp charging port for quicker charging time. The car is expected to have a Cooling Charge & Release (CCR) cooling system which will keep the battery at a lower temperature during charging. Drivers can choose between using third-party or Kia’s electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, both of which are compatible with the CCR system.
New Kia Niro EV prototypes are currently being tested by Kia employees. The testing should last at minimum until 2021, so we have a while to wait before we can actually see New Kia Niro EV prototype released in the market. It is clear that Kia will push to have electric vehicles (EV) present in their line up but they don’t want to rush it.
